Mowed the lawn today. Hurrah.
Had a brief IM conversation today with "Ellen", an ex-co-worker.
HVConstat9: Well, yippie-ki-yay. My parents are screaming at each other.
Ellen: Is this a usual event?
HVConstat9: Not to this degree. This is a thunderstorm, when it's usually Seattle-drizzly.
Ellen: Interesting choice of metaphor.
Ellen: You really have a fascinating way of putting things. I still say you've missed your calling.
I'm not sure. I might agree with her idea if I'd decided I had a calling. But I'm not sure I have one, and if I do, I certainly don't know what it is yet.
Today's Link Of The Day is something I just found while nosing around. Ever wonder why there aren't really any new religions? Well, Virus claims to be "a neo-cybernetic philosophy for the 21st century", but on later pages they refer to themselves as a religion. It's atheistic and nonspiritual ("dogmatism" is referred to as one of the "3 Senseless Sins"), so I'm heavily intrigued. I'll probably read through and pass on it, but I am going to read through. See for yourself. http://virus.lucifer.com/
