So, who's doing what for New Year's?

Got the New Year's Eve show...
I have to survive Christmas in NY before I can worry about New Year's.
With any luck, NOT curling into the fetal position and bawling.
That's your answer for everything!
Did you miss the word "NOT"? Usually, my answer IS curling into the fetal position and bawling.

Yeah, I don't know. I'm not certain I wanna watch the main squeeze in his show, I don't know if I wanna invite the usual suspects over to my place for games, I dunno. What do you wanna do?
I also don't know if I have to work the next morning, which would effect my evening.

There's also some talk of a gathering at the Hippodrome, although nothing official yet.

No idea. The lack of invitation from anywhere suggests to me that no one I know particularly wants to host (or to invite me). I shouldn't say that. My mother has suggested we have a family New Year's fete. This is not the first time she has tried to convince her children to do the New Year's thing with the family. She tried to get us to go to Wisconsin Dells for the Millennium - wanted us to be together in case of scary Y2K bug. Anyway, lacking good reason to snub her suggestion, I will be having Strauss Christmas. On New Year's. Yeah, we're weird.
will be in Chicagoland for the December holidays. No plans other than that, although a fun party with perchance alcohol is probably in my future.
