Can you name your greatest regret?

I realized recently that I can (and no, I won't be detailing it here1).

Was it something you did, or something you didn't do? A sin of commission, or omission?

Maybe it's something you'd change if you could do it over again. Then again, our scars define us. Would you still be the same person if you made that change?

What do you think about regret?

1The truly dedicated and intrepid among you might be able to puzzle it out, but I will offer neither help nor acknowledgment if you try.

Dude. Your biggest regret is that you've never met her.

I mean, come on?

More accurate to the question: among my biggest regrets is my uptightness in both high school and college. I think I could have enjoyed life more had I not been so rigid/conservative/religious/scared.

That said, I'm not prepared to claim that I would be a better person today had I done other.

It too tangles my exisistentialities to even think about.

I started out thinking about this, and figured that I'd have to decide. I'd have to think back and figure out what I regret.

Happily, I quickly came to the conclusion that this exercise is a waste of time. Regret is a waste of time. What good comes of it? We live, we learn, we move on.
