It is oddly unsatisfactory to go to a funeral when it's not raining.
I've been to three previously, and all took place on days that were, in the least, overcast.
Dealing with the sun on such a day strikes me as…unnecessary. Even cruel.
But this funeral was still a good one, as such things are judged. The Mass was reverent and sobering, but still celebratory. Good talk was had afterward, and a small bit of heroism played itself out.
I wish there was a good cemetery close by. I'm not Harold-nor do I know a Maude (indeed, I only know of the practice from Douglas Coupland's "Polaroids Of The Dead"), but I wish I lived near a really good cemetery. I think I'd spend time there.
Worked 2.5 hours, in the winding down of my project.
