Not too much today. I called American Samoa and the Marshall Islands at work, so that was kind of cool. Perhaps the best part was the directory assistance call: "Yeah, I need a listing for Pago Pago, please?"
I wondered a bit today about whether or not these writings comprise an unneeded externalization of memory. Ultimately, I decided they didn't, because they include little bits of experiences and such that are the things I'm really bad at remembering (to use a fictional example, I can tell you where we went for the dinner, who ate what, what everyone was wearing, but probably not a single one of the stories told). I don't think I'm explaining it well, but I decided to stop worrying about it, which is the important thing (and don't worry, my continued mangling of the English language was never endangered).
Having trouble not listening to the Tenacious D record. Having trouble not hearing it when I'm not listening to it.
Today's Link Of The Day is, to continue with the international-calling motif begun at the outset of this entry, the Albanian Yellow Pages. Need a photographer in Tirana? Now you know where to find one (you have four to choose from). Besides, I think "Albanian Yellow Pages" sounds funny. http://www.albanianyellowpages.com/
