So, did everyone get all 2-riffic 2-day? One wonders how Harvey Dent would have reacted.
Did some cleaning today. Dinner with P & M, too.
I really should have better things to do on a Saturday night, but it doesn't seem that I do.
I also went to church with M today. One of the things that happened there was the celebration of St. Blaise's Day (actually February 3, but why nitpick). On St. Blaise's Day, good Catholics get their throats blessed (said blessing involves holding a pair of crossed candles over the throat and some kind of incantation; for the record, I left before the blessings happened). This is done to ward off colds and sore throats for the year.
I'd like to point out that it's the year 2002 and people in the United States are having this done, and believing in its efficacy.
I don't think it's religion at all. It smells like superstition to me. I might as well say that I'm carrying a talisman that wards off toenail fungus in the name of St. Ted of Glocesterbury.
Humans. Go fig.
Today's Link Of The Day is a wonderfully nifty little Flash application with no real practical use. Go, read of "The Party", and wonder if there will ever be more. http://www.baresquare.com/play/theparty/
